Facebook

It's been a year since I started a Facebook profile, it was okay, I didn't post much. I was probably too paranoid to post personal things on the web. As they say, whatever you put on the web will last FOREVER. Besides, a year ago, I didn't really find many people in my searches.

Just recently, I was proven wrong. Facebook is wonderful, there are so many names and faces, it was such a great memory jogger, made me daydream of all the fun stories of the past! I really should be doing my Christmas cards, but I've been looking through site for the past hour. So nice to see what everyone else is up to. Made me realize how much I live in a little bubble, not keeping in touch with anyone for over 10 years!

Ok, ok, I'll have more time to post pictures and stories. I also have to add more friends, I don't have many. That's okay.

Time to work on something productive (that does not involve going online).

I didn't know...

I didn't realize Lynn and Jeremiah had their baby already. I just happen to email Jeremiah about FF stuff and asked how they're doing. Boy, am I out of the loop. I wonder how Jeremiah had so much time to mess with his flailing fantasy team? I must say, the guy has his priorities straight during the best 16 weeks (+4) of the year!

Random Thoughts

We made great time driving to Audra's parents, it's nice having few cars (and esp trucks) on the road.

I've decided to report to work Friday after Thanksgiving. I have to save leave for vacation in March and according to my calculations, I cannot take anymore days off between now and the end of March. None, nada, zip! Anything more will have to be LWOP! I thought, that's okay, no big deal, so what, I don't get paid for one day. Good thing I did another calculation on how much I make a day...and boy is it worth it driving back 3 hrs each way to go to work Friday! So that's what I'll do, drive home Friday morning to report to work (I actually have some pressing things to do) and then drive back Sat morning to be back with the family. I hope to put up Christmas lights and surprise the kids Friday night.

Have to load my teams for 3 games Thanksgiving Day....I love football!

Tired now, must sleep and save some energy to eat tomorrow!

Fantasy Football ups and downs

Last week, week 12, I won big time on my family league and lost even more bigger on my office league.

In my family league, I destroyed my lowly opponent, Giants "Jeff" Sucks, with huge points from Randy Moss and Drew Brees. I had Michael "4 TD" Turner on the bench, but I like to keep it close. It's all about sportsmanship. Now I'm in 2nd and clinched the playoffs, YEAH!

Speaking about Drew Brees, in my office league, I was playing an opponent that had him and I had Green Bay's defense. Oh boy, was I hoping for some interceptions-to-TDs, but that never happened. Imagine, that would be a 10 pt swing - 2 pts for the int, 6 pts for the TD, and minus 2 from my opponent's QB for throwing the int! GB usually has at least 1 of those in a game, but their typical 15+ pt defense got me minus 1 last Monday Night! I probably would've lost anyway, I had Jacobs and Plaxico playing on my roster....two big donuts 00! Now I'm still in 4th, but with lot's of vultures underneath, 1 and 2 games below, waiting for another loss. Let's hope for 2 more wins!

What boring things I did today

Got up
Woke up the boys
Jonah was too sick to his stomach to get to school
Went to work
Worked
Picked up rechartering package for cub scouts, ask me about it
Tried to pick up Gabe's coat and music book from the school, but the school was locked
Bought my darling some flowers (3 lilies), cuz I'm a wonderful, humble husband
Ate delicious fritatas (fresh eggs) and good yummy rolls for dinner and, of course, cereal for dessert
Read some newsweek
Bought Gabe his Christmas present - Lego Mindstorm
Snuck in a nap - hee hee
Now typing this blog
